- Ensure your service is configured with sctransv2
Open the service configuration and navigate to the "source" tab.
Ensure "sctransv2" is selected.
- Configure Port & Password
You will need to configure a custom DJ Listen port for DJ's to login to, this MUST be different to the shoutcast service and also not in use by any other application.
NOTE: You cannot bind ports lower than 1024 on linux unless you are root - It is generally good to start on port 1024 upwards.
- Login via SamBroadcaster
In the encoders menu select "Add new Encoder" then select "MP3 (LAME_ENC)" as the plugin type, click next and select the Server Details tab.
Select Shoutcast as the service type.
NOTE: Because the stream connects to sc_transv2 you will need to select "Shoutcastv1" as the server type even if you are streaming to Icecast.
Enter your server IP in the field provided and the custom DJ listen port you created earlier into the port field. In the password field enter: "dj:yourpassword" then click ok.
