Shoutcast Directory: How to list my station (AuthHash)
6429 viewsThe Shoutcast Directory (directory.shoutcast.com) is Shoutcast's directory of internet radio stations. New listeners find you there and in apps that use it. For your station to appear, it needs a key, the AuthHash.
What you need
- A station with a Shoutcast 2 server (not Icecast).
- The station must be playing (AutoDJ or a live broadcast).
- A free account on shoutcast.com.
Step 1: Get the AuthHash from shoutcast.com
- Create a free account on shoutcast.com and open the Radio Manager.
- Click New Radio Station, choose the free plan (Basic) and fill in your station's details (name, logo, genre, language, time zone).
- Open your station from the left menu and go to Settings → Advanced.
- Copy the AuthHash.
Step 2: Enter the AuthHash in your panel
Where the AuthHash goes depends on your panel:
- Centova Cast: Listing in the Shoutcast Directory
- SonicPanel: Listing in the Shoutcast Directory
- AzuraCast: Listing in the Shoutcast Directory
- Everest Cast: Listing in the Shoutcast Directory
- Multicast Radio: Listing in the Shoutcast Directory
Don't know which panel you have? See Which radio or video panel do I have?
When will it appear
Usually within a few minutes, but it can take longer. Check by searching for your station's name on directory.shoutcast.com. If it still isn't there after a day, open a support ticket.
