Plesk: Email accounts, creating, webmail, device settings, forwarding and auto-reply
7 viewsWith Plesk hosting you create email addresses on your domain. You log in with Login to Panel (see Plesk: Logging in).
If you need more advanced email for your business, see also Professional Email.
New email address
- Go to Mail and click Create Email Address.
- Enter the part before the @ and choose the domain.
- Keep Mailbox ticked, set the mailbox size and the password.
- Optionally add an external email address, for password reset.
- Click OK.
To change the size later, click the address and choose another size. It can't exceed your package's limit.
Webmail
Open webmail.yourdomain.com and log in with the full email address and its password. Or, in Plesk, click the webmail icon next to the address.
Settings for computer and phone
- In Websites & Domains → Mail Accounts, click the info icon next to the address. Manual Setup shows the incoming and outgoing servers, and whether the connection uses SSL/TLS.
- The username is the full email address, and SMTP requires authentication with the same details.
- Prefer IMAP: messages stay on the server and sync across all your devices.

Forwarding
In Mail, click the address, go to the Forwarding tab and turn on Switch on mail forwarding. Enter the destination addresses and click OK. If you don't want a copy kept in the mailbox, untick Mailbox.
Auto-reply
In Mail, click the address, go to the Auto-Reply tab and turn on Switch on auto-reply. Enter the subject and text, set how often it replies to the same sender and, if you like, when it stops. Click OK.
