SonicPanel: Creating a DJ account and permissions
8241 viewsWith a DJ account in SonicPanel, each of your presenters broadcasts live with their own password and has their own panel. You decide what each one is allowed to do.
Creating a DJ account
- Log in to SonicPanel with Login to Panel on the service page (see SonicPanel: First steps).
- In the left menu, under DJ Control Center, click Create a DJ Account.
- Enter a username and password for the DJ.
- Choose their permissions (see below) and save.
Once the account is created, SonicPanel gives it a DJ port. The port isn't fixed: each DJ account has its own. Give the DJ their port and password.
You can change DJ accounts later from List/Edit DJ Accounts in the left menu.
Permissions
Each DJ can have different permissions: e.g. whether they can broadcast, play jingles, or start and stop the station or AutoDJ.
- Be careful with permissions. You don't want someone stopping your station in the middle of a show.
- You can create an account without permission to broadcast (DJ Can Stream Music = no), for assistants who only need other DJ panel features.
