SonicPanel: Listing in the Shoutcast Directory (AuthHash)

For your station to appear in the Shoutcast Directory, you enter its AuthHash in SonicPanel. This applies to stations with a Shoutcast 2 server.

Steps

  1. Get the AuthHash from shoutcast.com: see Shoutcast Directory: How to list my station.
  2. Log in to SonicPanel with Login to Panel on the service page (see SonicPanel: First steps).
  3. In the left menu, click Manage Radio.
  4. Paste the AuthHash into the SonicPanel Authhash field and save.
  5. After a few minutes, search for your station on directory.shoutcast.com.

Good to know

  • Once you enter an AuthHash, your station's title comes from your shoutcast.com account. SonicPanel's AutoDJ title settings no longer apply.
  • With Shoutcast's free plan, the station streams MP3 up to 128 kbps. For AAC or higher bitrates you need a paid plan from shoutcast.com. The plan's User ID and Licence ID also go in Manage Radio.
