Paying by bank transfer
4 viewsYou can pay a proforma invoice by bank transfer to one of our bank accounts. Because these payments are credited manually, follow the steps below so we can match yours quickly.
Our accounts
You'll find them in the Client Area: Billing → Payment methods, in the Bank accounts section, with a copy button for each IBAN. We hold accounts at Piraeus Bank, Eurobank, Viva Wallet and Revolut. The page is available without logging in.
Always copy the IBAN from that page, not from old emails or notes. The account holder is ΣΑΛΤΗΣ ΣΠΥΡΟΣ Κ ΣΙΑ ΕΕ (Magic Streams L.P.).
Security: we never change bank accounts by a simple email. If you receive a message asking you to pay a different IBAN, don't pay and contact us through the Client Area.
Steps
- Open the proforma invoice and under Payment Method choose Bank Transfer. You'll see the amount and the proforma invoice number.
- Click View bank accounts and choose an account. Prefer a bank where you also have an account, so the transfer is immediate and free.
- Make the transfer for the exact amount of the proforma invoice.
- In the payment reference, write the proforma invoice number and your account's name or business name, e.g. "Proforma 12345 - Smith".
- Send us the transfer receipt: open a ticket with billing and attach the receipt as a PDF or image.
The payment is credited manually as soon as it shows in our account. If you pay into our account at the same bank as yours, it's credited within the same day. A transfer from another bank takes 1-2 working days.
Transfer charges
Transfer from another bank: if you transfer money to one of our accounts from another bank, you need to allow for the transfer cost, which is +€4*. Add it to the amount you send.
* The cost is set by the banks and may change.
Example: a €50 proforma invoice, transfer from another bank → you send €54.
The amount that reaches us must be the full amount of the proforma invoice; otherwise the proforma invoice stays unpaid with the difference. To avoid the transfer cost, pay into our account at the same bank as yours, or choose IRIS or an RF code, which have no charge at all.
For transfers from abroad, use the SWIFT/BIC shown for each account, and choose "charges paid by sender" (OUR).
When not to choose a bank transfer
- When the service expires today or is already suspended: with card, IRIS or PayPal it comes back immediately.
- When you're registering a domain someone else might take in the meantime.
Common problems
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| I paid but the proforma invoice is still Unpaid | Send the receipt in a ticket to billing, if you haven't already. Without a correct reference, matching takes longer. |
| I forgot to write a reference | Send the receipt in a ticket, quoting the proforma invoice number. |
| I paid two proforma invoices with one transfer | Write both numbers in the ticket. Next time, use Pay all unpaid proforma invoices (here), so you have one amount and one number. |
