Centova Cast: Playlist types and scheduling (General Rotation, Scheduled, Interval)
10 viewsIn Centova Cast, playlists are created and set up in the Playlist Manager. Each playlist has a type, which decides when it plays.
You log in to Centova Cast with Login to Panel (see Centova Cast: First steps).
Playlist types
| Type | When it plays |
|---|---|
| General Rotation | Your station's main music. It plays when nothing else is playing. The Standard Rotation playlist that already exists is of this type. |
| Scheduled | On a set day and time, once or repeating daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. The time follows the time zone set in your stream settings. |
| Interval | Every so many songs or minutes. Ideal for jingles, station IDs and ads. |
| Immediate | For song requests from listeners. |
New playlist
- Open the Playlist Manager.
- Click Create Playlist at the top right.
- Give it a name, choose the type and set when it plays.
- Save and add songs to the playlist from Media (see Centova Cast: Enabling AutoDJ, uploading music and creating a playlist).
Scheduled playlist options
Scheduled playlists have extra options, such as play order, Interruptible and Stop after.
To change a playlist, click the Edit Playlist icon next to it. To disable it, right-click it in Media and choose Enable/Disable Playlist.
