I forgot my password or want to change it
1 viewsThis article is about your Client Area password. Your services (radio panel, hosting, VPS, email) have their own passwords, which you change from each service's panel.
I forgot my password
Step 1: request a reset link
- On the login page, click Forgot password?
- Enter the Email you log in with and click Send Reset Link.
- You'll see "Check your email". For security, the message is the same whether the email exists or not.
Step 2: set a new password
- Open the "Password reset" email and click the link. It's valid for 2 hours and works once.
- Enter the New Password, or click the magic wand Generate strong for a random 16-character password (keep it somewhere safe).
- Repeat it in Confirm Password and click Update Password.
- You're taken to the login page with the message "Password changed successfully". Log in with the new password.
The email didn't arrive
- Wait 5 minutes and check your Spam folder and the Promotions tab (Gmail).
- Make sure you entered the email you log in with, not another one of yours.
- The reset email is only sent to accounts with an active status. If you no longer have active services, or your account has been closed, you won't receive an email. In that case contact us from the Contact Us page.
"This reset link has expired or is invalid"
More than 2 hours have passed, you've already used the link, or you requested a newer one. Click Try again and use the most recent link.
Changing your password while logged in
- Go to Account → Security (or the menu under your name → Security).
- In the Change Password card, enter your Current Password.
- Enter the New Password twice (or click Generate strong).
- Click Update Password. You'll see "Your password has been updated successfully".
Password rules
- At least 8 characters.
- Strong enough: combine at least three of: 12+ characters, upper and lower case, numbers, symbols. Otherwise you'll see "This password is too weak".
- Don't reuse the same password on other sites, and don't give it to anyone, including us. We will never ask for your password.
Good to know
- If you use two-factor authentication, a password reset does not switch it off. You'll still need the code from your app or a backup code.
- If you can access several accounts with the same email (Users), the password is shared across all of them.
- Users you've invited only change their own password. They can't see or change yours.
- If you suspect someone knows your password, change it straight away and switch on two-factor authentication.
